![]() The bandings and random bleaching appearances on certain parts of the screen were annoying as well. Keeping the 1st one is no longer the option, as I already returned it. (I went to Best Buy and the demo X900Fs didn't seem to have much gaps at the corners of the bezel.) There are actually more gaps at the corners of the bezel of the 2nd one as well. (With 4K, I guess dead pixels are not as easy to spot as 1080p?) I also noticed a 1" scratch/crack on the screen of the 2nd one. It turns out that the 2nd one actually have at least 7 dead pixels include some in the middle of the screen. So I thought I would keep the 2nd one instead, as few dead pixels in the corner are better than one in the middle. Now, I noticed a dead pixel right near the middle of the screen. I didn't take the pic while it was still in the UPS truck. The 3rd one box is actually more squished/beatup than the 2nd one. I saw few dead pixels in the corner, so I let Costco know and also sent them the pic of the TV lying 15 degree in the truck.Ĭostco sent me a 3rd one and also a return shipping label for the 2nd one. In the UPS truck, I can see that the box was lying 15 degree to the floor, instead of standing upright. The 2nd one, the box arrived in a beatup condition. The first one was perfect in terms of zero dead pixels, but the bandings/uneven screen were too much so I returned it to the store. I bought the Sony X900F, and I couldn't get the copy I'm genuinely OK with. I'm wondering if anyone here has ever been banned by Costco. If I pay less, I guess I'd be more willing to live with the TV flaw(s). (Getting 120 Hz for when my dog wants to watch TV lol.)Īnyone here happy with their NU8000? It seems that some retailers have really good deals on open-box ones of this model. And I heard bad things about the Vizio P series. The Q8F/Q70R are the other TVs with VA panel, 120Hz, and FALD, but they are more expensive. It seems that the X900F is somewhat in a class of its own. (I already spot 4 dead pixels on my 3rd one, and I was not looking for them specifically after I found the 1st dead pixel on this unit.)One guy claims improper storage by the retailer can cause dead pixels too. Exchanging it for another one and I'll likely get another one from the same batch. Costco doesn't carry this in my local warehouses. I'm thinking I either keep it, or return it and get a different model. Some other guys claim that dead pixels are common with the X900F. One guy claims almost all 4K screen have dead pixels. Somehow, got some results on the 900F even though I didn't use the 900F as one of the keywords. I am using this Vizio with my MSI (GS63 STEALTH-010) Laptop I purchased from BestBuy a couple months ago. I am wondering if this is a defect or if anybody else is observing this behavior. The M series did not have this issue at all, it showed perfectly smooth colors, not the P series, I am afraid (Photos attached for comparison).įor movies this is really not noticeable, but working on the desktop, it is! I didn't expect this behavior upgrading to a better series. The P-Series shows a bad pixel pattern, which is pretty annoying. I use this Vizio primarily with my laptop for work, to play games and watch movies. I am coming from the M Series (M50-C1 - 2015) and was so happy with it that when came to upgrade, I decided to go for the more expensive and feature rich P Series (P55-F1 2018).
